ABOUT

Welcome to LOUMAC. I’m a London-based pattern cutter with 4 years of experience across both physical and digital processes. I specialize in digital pattern cutting and grading, using tools like Clo3D, Gerber, and Illustrator to turn design concepts into accurate, production-ready patterns.

With a First-Class degree from a London fashion school and a solid foundation in traditional techniques, I combine technical precision with a forward-thinking approach to design. I help fashion designers and brands streamline their development process while staying true to their creative vision.

I believe that digital tools hold the key to a more innovative and sustainable future in design. My mission is to bridge the gap between creativity and technology, ensuring every designer and business can harness the power of digital workflows to bring their visions to life.

PATTERN MAKING

My company provides pattern grading, creative pattern cutting based on sketches or concepts, and pattern alterations. We do not charge an hourly rate but offer a fixed fee per pattern based on the type of garment you want to create. Our current lead times vary depending on the type of pattern. Each pattern produced for a client becomes yours to own and this will act as your unique blueprint to be used for all your future samples and production.

PATTERN GRADING

Transform your original patterns into perfectly scaled sizes, ensuring each garment retains its intended fit and look and recieve a spec sheet.

DIGITAL FITTING

REALISTICSCHEMATICHAPTICABOUT After the first draft is created, you’ll receive a digital fitting showing the front, back, and side views of your design.

This can be provided with or without a model and can include any background you prefer. You’ll then have the opportunity to give feedback by adding notes or mark-ups directly to the schematic render.

A revised version, the second digital fitting, will then be sent for review. Please note that up to two digital fittings are included.

ADVANCED PATTERN MAKING

We are currently developing Computational Garment Patterning (CGP), a cutting-edge software designed to revolutionize the garment pattern-making process. By automating the complex task of unwrapping 3D objects into precise, flat patterns, CGP reduces the cognitive workload for designers. This allows them to focus on creativity and innovation, unlocking the potential to create intricate, experimental, and highly complex garment patterns with ease.

With its 3D-centric workflow, CGP streamlines pattern creation, making it more efficient and versatile. Although primarily intended for fashion design, its applications extend to other fields, including furniture, sculpture, and product design. Stay tuned for updates as we bring this groundbreaking tool closer to completion. Launch details coming soon!

If you would like to beta test the software or have a pattern developed using the system, then contact us now.
